This Cryptocoryne is a very popular, undemanding, low-growing aquarium plant that reproduces by runners, forming nice ground-covering carpets. It was long known by the name "Cryptocoryne nevillii", and sometimes still is. Its leaves are wider and it grows much faster than the tiny Cryptocoryne parva. Its sunken leaves are mostly medium green, sometimes with brown tones. The plant is mainly delivered in its terrestrial form which can develop leaves on very long stems, however its submerged foliage remains much shorter.
