Beginner: Use 1 cap (5 mL) per 80 L (20 US gallons) twice a week. It is best if it is diluted in a cup of fresh water and then added. Check the alkalinity every 2 weeks and adjust the amount or frequency accordingly.
Advanced: Check the alkalinity and then follow the addition scheme above until the alkalinity is set to 4–5 meq / L. Each mL contains at least 4 meq of alkalinity. Every 5 mL / 80 L increases the alkalinity by approximately 0.25 meq / L. The amount or frequency can be adjusted, but does not exceed 20 mL / 80 L per day. Then use as needed to maintain the alkalinity.
