Extremely high cross-sectional area and filtration area, each Bio-Block has an area of ??up to 1,080 m² (11,635 ft) to form bacterial colonies. Bio-Block excels at creating bacterial colonies in the form of Bio-Nano Composite Films, allows the growth of different species of bacteria and fungi on a large surface, such as nitrifying bacteria, yeast, phototrophic prokaryotes, etc. The placement of Nano-Tech Bio-Block directly on tank facilitates maintenance and saves huge space for other machines.
The Bio-Block should be cleaned or replaced every 6 months for best results, however when cleaning / replacing the old Bio-Block, DO NOT replace all of them at the same time. Clean / replace half of the Bio-Spheres / Bio-Block so that there are enough bacterial colonies to be restored to the recently cleaned / replaced Bio-Block.
