Unlike many of the other Echinodorus species, Echinodorus 'Red Diamond' remains moderately sized (20-30 cm wide rosette), so it is extremely suitable as a solitary plant, even in small aquariums. An increase in nutrients in the substrate results in more abundant growth, while favorable light conditions favor the formation of ruby-red leaves.
