Technical details:
Fauna Marin Multifilter 3,0 L:
Base: 24 x 14 cm
height: 50 cm
Capacity: about 3.0 L
Including the controlled pump
Installation:
Install the filter in the technical tank and connect the supplied pump (Sicce 1.0) to the screw connection. Make sure that the feed pump is running at full capacity (see operating instructions supplied with the pump). If possible, install the filter before a skimmer. This results in a particularly rapid breakdown of nutrients. The water level should not exceed 25-30 cm.
Remove the top center screw and the installed screen and fill the finished filter material into the filter. Then replace the filter in reverse order and tighten the screw only slightly.
It is important that the multi-filter is upright.
Now start the pump and make sure the filter material is moving. Make sure that the filter never stops and that the pump always provides adequate water flow.
Weekly work:
Cleaning the top screen
Cleaning the drain holes
Cleaning the outer side walls of the filter
Every 2 weeks:
Clean the feed pump
Every 3-4 weeks:
Remove and clean the bottom screen.
To do this, loosen the center screw of the central retaining tube (PVC) and remove the top display. Now unscrew the bottom screen from the center tube (the cable is at the bottom). After cleaning, you can reassemble the filter in reverse order.
It is very important that the return water flows over the side walls of the filter. Proper recirculation means that water is re-enriched with oxygen, which has been depleted during the breakdown of nutrients.
The flow control on the suction side of the pump allows precise flow regulation and therefore ensures quiet operation of the filter.
