The Dennerle Dosator, made of high-quality plastic, works according to the principle of osmosis. Water from the aquarium "migrates" through the semi-permeable special membrane into the tank, which forces the nutrient solution into the aquarium drop by drop through the riser tube. This has two effects: firstly, the aquarium receives the amount of fertilizer it needs, and secondly, the Dosator becomes a "tank indicator": as water gradually enters and pushes the fertilizer into the aquarium, the fertilizer-water mixture contained in the Dosator becomes more and more clearer. Now, when the contents of the tank lose color (S7 orange, V30 yellowish green), you know it's time to fertilize. Aquarium plants benefit from a permanent, even supply of nutrients, just like in nature. This ensures healthy, balanced plant growth and makes the aquarium glow with gorgeous, rich green.
