Red Sea Coral Colors A (Iodine+) 500ml

IODINE+ is part of a complete line of complementary complexes of major, minor and trace elements that together cover the needs of corals. It contains iodine and other halogens that are involved in many biological processes, one of which is the production of pink pigments in the soft tissue of corals.
Halogens act as both antioxidants and oxidants within the soft tissue and mucus layer of corals, reducing the likelihood of coral bleaching. In active reef systems, these elements are rapidly depleted due to their high oxidizing abilities and their reactivity with organic materials. Iodine and bromine are associated with the pink chromoprotein (Pocciloporin).
